Potassium hexacyanoferrate(III) [Potassium ferricyanide] has been used as an oxidant in the preparation of diethidium and di-mito-ethidium.

��� It is used in analytical reagents and indicators.
��� Potassium ferrocyanide is used as an external indicator because if you add potassium ferrocyanide directly into ferrous iron solution, the entire solution will change into blue precipitate and the amount of ferrous iron will decrease.

Application: In the industrial field it is used in the rinse of color film, brown adjustment of black-and-white photos and black-and-white photosensitive materials;
Cyanotype Chemicals: Can be DIY Cyanotype, need to be used with ammonium ferric citrate to create sensitizer stock.

It reacts with cobalt chloride hexahydrate to afford CoHCF (Cobalt hexacyanoferrate) nanoparticles.
It may be employed as an oxidizing agent during the fabrication of glucose conductometric biosensor.
