It might sound like baking, but sugaring is actually a method of hair removal.<\/p>\n
Similar to waxing, sugaring removes body hair by quickly pulling the hair from the root.<\/p>\n
The name for this method comes from the paste itself, which consists of lemon, water, and sugar.<\/p>\n
The ingredients are all heated together until it reaches a candy-like consistency. Once it cools it?s applied directly to the skin.<\/p>\n
This mixture is much more natural and environmentally-friendly than wax, making it a desirable method of hair removal.<\/p>\n
Benefits of Sugaring!: <\/strong><\/p>\n ~Exfoliates only the dead skin cells, unlike with waxing that removes also live skin cells<\/p>\n ~Less pain than waxing because the hair is removed in the direction of the natural hair growth<\/p>\n ~No chance of burning, sugaring paste is used just above room temperature.<\/p>\n ~ Fewer ingrown hairs<\/p>\n ~Hair can be removed at 1\/8th of an inch<\/p>\n ~Sugaring lasts 4-6 weeks depending on what stage your hair cycle is in. <\/p>\n ~Initially we recommend sugaring appointments every 3-5 weeks to catch the next stage of hair working you toward long term, more permanent results <\/p>\n Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Make 1-3 passes over the area.<\/p>\n 4. Flick the sugaring paste off of your skin in the direction of hair.<\/p>\n Tip:<\/strong> 1. If the ball of sugaring paste sticks to the skin use a wash cloth with water to remove from skin.<\/p>\n 2. If the sugaring paste keeps getting stuck make faster passes with the sugaring paste.
